Dementia Pathfinders is partnering with Unforgettable to host two play readings of ‘Don’t Leave Me Now’, on 11th September 2018, at the Spring Arts & Heritage Centre, 56 East Street, Havant PO9 1BS.

Inspired by the lived experiences of two very different families, ‘Don’t Leave Me Now’ highlights the impact of a diagnosis of dementia at a young age, and explores the dilemmas and struggles faced by people living with dementia and their carers on their unpredictable and heart-breaking journeys.

‘Don’t Leave Me Now’ was written by Brian Daniels, Artistic Director of New End Theatre Beyond.

The event will include a book-signing session with Rachael Dixey, whose story ‘Our Dementia Diary: Irene, Alzheimer’s and Me’ was the original inspiration for the play.

There will be two performances of the playreading: a matinee at 2.30pm and evening performance at 6.30pm. Each playreading will be followed by a post-show discussion and audience Q&A with the actors, playwright and Rachael Dixey.

The event is free to attend, however booking is essential.

If you live in Havant or surrounding areas, please spread the word: we would be very pleased to see you at this event, everyone is welcome. The play is thought-provoking, funny, sad and emotional. You will learn a lot.
