Unforgettable has had a bit of a makeover. Whether you’re a regular visitor or a newcomer we hope it will be easier for you to find the products or advice you’re looking for. Please come and have a look!
You can see what we’ve done below. Click on the links in the header to be taken to the corresponding part of the website.
Advice & Community
Our Advice & Community section is now prominently displayed, making it easier than ever to find the information or support you’re looking for. Unforgettable is proud to have more than 900 advice articles about memory loss and dementia and the challenges you might face on the dementia journey, as well as eBooks around specific dementia challenges. We also have a vibrant community of people who have been through similar situations offering their insights, and new blogs keeping you up-to-date with dementia research and innovation.
Shop By Need
Our Shop By Need section makes it easier for you to find all the products that might help you with a problem you have right now, including products you might not even know exist. Just go to Shop By Need and click on the situation or challenge that applies to you… We’ll do the rest.
PS We’ll be adding more to this category, so please let us know if you think we’ve missed anything out by leaving a comment below.
Advice while you shop
We believe the best way to support someone is to offer information and practical support at the same time. So, if you’re looking for products to help with incontinence, we’ll also show you our most popular advice articles on the same page. If you’re looking for products to help with sleep, you’ll also find several articles explaining why memory loss can affect sleep and offering more tip and advice that might help.
Bundles (with discounts)
We’ve learnt that some challenges are more common than others, so we’ve tried to help you by creating shopping bundles containing some of our most popular products – and all with a ten per cent discount. For example, if increasing forgetfulness is an issue you might be interested in a Simple Reminders Kit. If you’re struggling to cope with boredom, take a look at one of the four popular activities kits.
Also… A word about wandering and the stages of dementia
We want visitors to find what they’re looking for as quickly as possible. This means that our product descriptions and articles might contain common search terminology (ie, the words people use when they’re searching online) which is sometimes frowned upon. For example, we know that the term ‘walking with purpose’ is generally preferred over ‘wandering’ but we also know that most family carers who are worried about a loved one getting lost when they go out, will search for ‘help with wandering.’ That’s why visitors to Unforgettable will find advice articles and product descriptions which contain both of these terms.
The same applies to the terminology around the stages of dementia. We’ve found that people use many different words to describe their loved one’s progression through the dementia journey, so we’ve tried to reflect this in our own terminology. That’s why you’ll find advice and products to help with mild cognitive impairment, as well as early, mild, moderate, mid, advanced or late stage dementia. However, if you prefer to consider dementia as a personal journey rather than a series of stage, you’ll find information about that too. Go here for more information,
